When programming your radio consider setting your radio deviation to WIDE rather than NARROW if your radio offers that option. Most repeaters in our area are setup to receive and retransmit WIDE signals. If you set your radio to NARROW your signal audio will be very low in volume to anyone that is not using another radio set to NARROW.
