Scanner Frequencies

The club maintains a packet node network on 145.050 Mhz. We have a high level node (BRKNRG:N6KRV-5) on Breckenridge Mountain at 7,502' to provide coverage north into the San Joaquin Valley. We also have (BIRD:N6KRV-6) at 6,352' located at Bird Springs to provide coverage to the eastern Sierra and desert areas. The BIRD:N6KRV-6 node is currently nonoperational for unknow reasons. We also have a node covering the Kern River Valley (KRV:N6KRV-9) that is co-located with the N6SR repeater in Isabella Highlands on the west side of the valley at 3,628'.

The Western Kern County ARES group maintains a packet station at the Kern County Emergency Operations Center in Bakersfield, CA. It is on 145.050 with the main call sign of KC6EOC, PBBS KC6EOC-1 and Ka-Node KC6EOC-7. It is intended to be on the air 24/7.
